A scene from the book ‘The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe’ inspired the illustration. Mr. Tumnus and the Witch were two of the characters
who drew my interest the most. The relationship shared between Lucy and Mr. Tumnus is warm and special. Even though the scene depicts the ice
world of Narnia, the warm colours highlight the relationship shared by the characters. I wanted to highlight the scarf in the illustration as it is symbolic to Mr. Tumnus. When Peter and Aslan win the Battle of Narnia and the ice sculptures begin to melt, the ice encircling Mr. Tumnus begins to melt as well. The illustration style used is playful and detailed. I have shown movement with various patterns in the illustration.
