Motivation From Our Little Insect Friends

Surface Illustrations

Since I was a child, I've never been particularly fond of insects. I have always had a fear that frequently manifests in screams and quick reflexes. Through this series of illustrations, I want to encourage others to let go of their inhibitions and discover their own inner beauty. These illustrations are abstractions of reality, and I hope they inspire us to be the best versions of ourselves.

1. Ants- Be diligent and Hardworking

Ants teach us the value of perseverance. They are never sluggish. They are self-motivated and their efforts and hard work keep them going. They are not constrained by size, scarcity, or location.

Hard work and diligence will lead you to self-development, discovering inner capabilities and rewards.

2. Cicadas- Do Not Agonize

Cicadas do not appear to suffer much pain throughout their lives.
Instead of focusing on side issues, they are solely concerned with completing the task at hand. The seventeen-year Cicadas spend the majority of their lives below ground, fulfilling an important ecological function of aerating the soil. They emerge from the ground once the soil temperature reaches reach around 64 degrees Fahrenheit in search of mates.

It is essential that we keep working towards our goals and staying away from invalid distractions. Although, everyone needs a change once in a while in order to keep going on.

3. Honey Bees- Communicate Effectively

Honey Bees communicate frequently with one another and share information about changes to their environment. They do not break contact with their group and instead are constantly relaying information they receive.

Effective communication is essential to ensure that you and others understand information more accurately and avoid misunderstandings.
